Saturday, April 11, 2009 PLAYER'S RATING

Great afford today during the match! Although it was a great pity than i was not able to play with u guys.I hope you guys enjoyed the match and learned from it. However as a spectator's point of view, this is a player review i did while i was watching the match.

1-HONG HENK 10/10 Heroic performance by the goalkeeper, inspiration figure which provide stability to the teams defence. His work rate and no nonsense style of play denied the opposition several goal bound chances.

5-NASRUL 8.5/10 Once again the skipper has done his defensive duties, shutting out most dangers by the opposition.Being able to to put his height to advantage provides the team defence with aerial prowess, however he could be more commanding to further enhance co-ordination of the defence line.

3-JUNDA 8/10 The center-back is able to clear most danger within his area.He is able to play both LB and CB effectively, however an improvement in man to man marking could further benefit his game. His safety first way of play cause little worry for the goal keeper

21-ALFIAN 6.5/10 The offensive minded RB had showed effort in contributing to both ends of the pitch. He is able to deal effectively to several wing threats. However the right back is easily caught off guard by quick counter attack as he is usually position to upfront.Speed and stamina may help boast his effectiveness on the right hand side.

10-WILLIAM 7.5/10 The defensive midfielder is a typical box to box player, contributing to offence as well as defence. His absence could be felt as we have more attacking chances during the first half before he was injured. He had a great game which was dampened by the injury.

29-ZHEHAO 8/10 During first half , when he played as a right winger, his style of play clearly shows that he is uncomfortable on the right wing as his lack of dribbling made him a more one dimensional player. However when he changed to a defensive midfielder, his tackling ability ,speed and determination is remarkable,he provides good cover to the back four.

9-VINOTH 7.5/10 The center midfielder is spear head of all attacks.his great passing ability is great benefit to the whole team. However he tends to get carried away to either flank of the field, leaving the center area open. The CM's work rate is commendable.

7-KERWIN 7.5/10 He is able to operate effectively on the left side either as a LW or LB .Great pace and dribbling contributed to the effectiveness on the left hand side. However he made several serious mistakes of back pass which leave the goalie in danger.

14-WENFENG 8/10 The left legged is most natural on the left as he is able to move and pass the ball swiftly down the flank.Made contributions as both a left wing and left forward. However he should ask for the ball more frequently as the teams attack usually concerntrates on the right side ,allowing him less time on the ball.

23 ILYAS 7.5/10 .A strong and stable defender, he took on a totally different role as a second striker in the first half. Managed to create several chance for himself and also the striker but to no avail. He plays to his best as a center back during the second half.

22-ZANE 7/10 The right winger made his entry to the game during 2nd half. He did contribute to certain attacking attempts.Better ball control and dribbling will help put his speed into greater use.Has improved compared to his previous trainings

11-OTTO 6.5/10 The striker favors a goal-poaching style of play .His positioning is good however he likes to lay back and wait for the ball.Tight marking also cut of supplies to the striker forcing him to a rather quiet game. However quicker and better ball control will make him a lethal target man.

Guys this is just my view, i hope he can serve as a note to u guys. Please do not feel offended by any of my view points, as no one is perfect including myself. I hope this will be useful to future references=D

Virgin Match

Today was the Gamebreakers' First 11-a-side match. Sadly we lost 1-0 to the Hougang Aces. The First Half was against a young side (blue) and it ended with a draw at 0-0. The Second Half was against the veterans (yellow) and we lost to them by a last gasp goal. Goalkeeper Honghenk was easily our best player of the match as he denied Hougang Aces at least 8 times. One of the finest contribution was a triple save which prevented Hougang Aces anymore goals. It was due to a defensive lapse that the goal was conceded. And as we all can see from the game, we are not ready to play a match against an experienced side. We need more tactical training before another match is organised.

2nd Half Formation: 4-4-2
First Half Formation: 4-1-3-
